This website has been silent for a year. Here’s an update on my activities.

Cute Little Factory hasn’t been updated for a long time. What happened to me?
I moved my business to Andreaaustoni.com and my blog to Tumblr.
I’ve been learning portrait and caricature as well as digital painting. It’s a hard but exhilarating journey and I’d like to share here some of my favorite illustrations I’ve done in the past year:

Info dari Trenologi, Operator selular/ HP Telkomsel, Indosat, dan XL akan menghadirkan opsi pengunaan Nano SIM mulai bolan Oktober ini untuk mengantisipasi hadirnya iPhone 5 di ndonesia walaupun belum diketahui kapan akan launching di Indonesia.
Berdasarkan pengalaman saat iPhone 4 pertama kali hadir di Indonesia, kartu Micro-SIM memang belum begitu banyak beredar di pasaran. Untuk menggunakan smartphone tersebut, pengguna akhirnya memilih untuk memotong kartu SIM sendiri. Pemotongan kartu ini tidak terlalu sulit dilakukan, asalkan ukuran pemotongan tepat.
Berbeda dengan Micro SIM yang digunakan untuk smartphone iphone 4 yang bias di akalin dengan memotongnya, iphone 5 menggunakan tipe Nano SIM yang mmiliki ukuran Nano-SIM, yaitu 12,3mm x 8,8mm x 0,67mm dengan ketebalan 15 % lebih tipis dari Micro SIM.
Smarthphone iPhone 5 yang sudah mengusung koneksi internet hingga EV-DO Rev.A & B telah resmi diperkenalkan oleh perusahaan Apple yang menggelar jumpa pers berlokasi di Yerba Buean Center, San Francisco, AS, pada hari Rabu 12 September 2012 dan pada hari Jumat 21 September 2012 telah resi di distribusikan ke pasaran di 9 Negara : Australia, Jepang, Hong Kong, Singapura, Prancis, Jerman, Inggris, Kanada, Amerika Serikat AS & akan menyusul ke 22 negara lainnya hingga akhir tahun ini.

The Converter Logo

I designed the new logo of the iOS app The Converter.

The Converter is a unit conversion app designed by Vladimir Kofman. He contacted me to design a new logo for the app’s newest version.

This logo was a lot of work as the design is complicated and full of details. Icons for all iPhone and iPad models were created, resizing, redrawing and optimizing the shapes by hand for each size.

Gradebook Logo

I designed the logo for the Android app Gradebook.

I was contacted by Erich Douglass to design a logo for his Android app Gradebook. The app is designed to be used by students to keep track of school assignments, course work, and their GPA.
Erich sent me links to similar apps and logos he liked. He suggested I concentrate on graphic metaphors connected to school so I sent him a few sketches. I always try to come up with at least three different concepts for app logos, ranging from the most obvious to the most far out. It’s important to stretch your imagination at this stage. As usual, the simplest concept was the best one (#3):

Obviously it was too busy. We decided to simplify it in order to make it read better so here’s the final version:

All in all this was a fun project. I especially enjoyed the quick turnaround which always makes me itch for more and more work.

Working with Andrea as been fantastic! As someone who is new to working with a freelancer, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Once I had sent him my contact information Andrea responded promptly to my request and helped guide me through the process. After describing the application to him, he quickly sketched up a few icon ideas and we proceeded to refine the concept until we came up with the final icon. The results were great and I belive that a great icon will help set my application apart from the crowd.
If I need any design work done in the future, Andrea will be the first person I contact.

Introducing my portfolio gallery.

The Portfolio section on this website features extensive posts about my work with process explanations and shots as well as client testimonials. While that is good for a design blog I wanted to have a place where my potential clients could review my work in an easy and quick way, letting the images speak for themselves. I’ve been using Cargo as a portfolio platform for a while now and I was very satisfied with it so I upgraded my account and uploaded all of my work there.

Isn’t it “austonishing”? From now on please go to my Portfolio Gallery for an overview of my work without all the sketches and blabbering. Thank you.

Untuk segi kwalitas dan layanan service Android masih unggul dan mudah untuk mendapatkan tempat perbaikan jika mengalami kerusakan di banding BlackBerry yang belum banyak di temui.
